Kiwi berries are closely related to regular kiwis. Their flavour resembles that of gooseberries: sweet and aromatic. The kiwi berry originated in Siberia, Japan and Manchuria. The plants are highly winter-resistant which makes them suitable for cultivation in the Netherlands.
